Create a CentOS 6 Template

Before creating a CentOS template, you will need to:

edit the file:

nano /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules

# PCI device 0x1af4:0x1000 (virtio-pci)

SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="00:16:3e:2d:50:2a", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth0"

Only the comment at the top of the file should be left.

Then, shutdown the VPS and create the template.

Please note: that when the VPS has started again, the /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rule file is populated with the hardware config.
